Default American Pioneer powder

Hey guys I was just watching Jim Shockey's and he showed a fellow that was shooting American Pioneer powder and he was on his 1000 shot without a cleaning and he was still shooting groups. Is this even possible?

it is if you want to sell American Pioneer Powder. Just for your information, it is a very clean burning powder. Whether a person could shoot that many shots without cleaning the rifle I do not know. I have heard the same claim. I have shot American Pioneer Powder and I like it. It seems to work real good with everything but conicals, for me...

I wouldn't subject a centerfire rifle to that sort of abuse. But it is real clean burning. Only a light biege dust remains. No crud ring.

The thing about that powder is they say if you shoot a lubed projectile it will bring down your accuracy. APP produces it's own moister when fired. They say you wont get good results with lubed conicals. If you shoot a Ball-et or a short conical around 300 grains you could use a thin roundball patch and that might solve that problem.

I agree with Cayugad, I shoot APP in the stick
form. I swab between every shot with the 50/50
Isp. & w/w fluid followed by two dry patches. It
is a CLEAN burning powder, but 1000 shots with
no cleaning?? Well I'm just not going to repeat
this to anyone who has or ever will test my
sanity The after range time clean-up
is really easy with the APP. What I'm saying is
I like the powder, its just the "HYPE" I ain't
buyin. Good shooting & God bless Danny

My No Excuses 50 cal. 495 gr. and No Excuses .54 cal. 535 gr. lubed conicals love APP. My old TC kit Renegade will shoot excellent groups at 75 yards with open sights. Within 2 inches.

I haven't tried APP but would like to based on shooters reports from here and other like boards. Jim is a great Salesman, like most other sponsered hunters they push products that support them. Nothing wrong with that but we should take it for what it is- "selling opportunity" (marketing).

BTW, when/if you find APP in Canada please let me know! I have not found any dealers in Canada for APP products, nor has APP responded to my email requests for info.
