RE: Farthest Roundball Shot

i enjoyed idea i was shooting like years ago with roundball also.i like the tradition thing.i could never get roundballs to shoot as well as my maxi-balls, so i changed. lot easier to load at 10 above too,if needed.just much more punch with that maxi-ball with a deer. with laural here you sometimes only get about 6 inch opening to shoot a buck.times i have passed up shot with roundball but with maxi-ball, no way, its going into that opening, twig or not.i like that big piece of lead in heavy woods and not a roundball. in open,or in treestand sitting, no problem. i like to stalk and we drive deer,so, that maxi is baby to have. it just takes that worry away from you .thats important in heavy brush.roundball is fine in right hands.as i am getting older i shake more too,gun feels heavier, eyes are getting worst,i get cold,ha.so, i need every edge .that is why i think those powerbelts are the best you can get for deer.you can load down your powder so you dont get kick and you will shoot much better.with open sights, that real important not to flinch.hollow point bullet does not need the power to open it up on deer. anyhow, i like roundballs but i prefer the others for deer.take care
