Oh, that trigger guard may not be a problem for you. My hand finally recovered. ;)

Did the recoil get you? with the finger insuch a limited area... or did you get bit cloaing the action? I am not following exactly what you are telling me...

Recoil, mainly to the fingers other than my trigger finger but it got a little of it too. Middle finger got hit the hardest. May be peculiar to my hand and hold but any heavy load would give me a beatin' from my Omega. The one I shot (of the two I owned) was a synthetic stock, the laminates surely handle recoil better.

I wondered about that same thing... I certainly hope to find out about it all this weekend.

I am normally oblivious to recoil unless it reaches out and bites ya.. I guess I shouldn't say oblivious because I do dread the recoil of a 3 1/2 turkey load from my 870

I just hope the darn thing will group as well as my other guns with a variety of projectiles. Cuase I can not make up my darn mind to what i am really going to shoot - I like shooting them all. The Remingtons will shoot anything you stuff down them with just about any powder load I want to shoot and they will group great. That versitilty really amkes me happy.

Well I am far from the muzzleloader king...:) I have four inline rifles and none of them are the modern break open type. In fact three of them are the old slide striker model and they work just fine. There are others on this forum much more familiar with inline rifles then I.

As for the Revolution, well I handled one in a store and was not all that impressed with the balance and feel of it. That's about as closeI ever came to one. Iwonder, if this is such a great rifle, why it has not made more of an impact on the sales of the Omega. While beinga Knight rifle I would think the customer service we have grown to expect would be there. I just wonder what kind of concerns Revolution owners have about the rifle. The current Revolutionownersdo not seem to appear on the different forums shouting all of the kudos of the rifle.

I really can not give you much information about the rifle. I am sure some Revolution owners on the forum could. Are there any out there?

Sabot....I think Underclocked is just trying to see if you might want to sell cheap....:)

I sighted in a Laminated/Stainless Omega for my cousin back in September, before deer season...Recoil wasn't bad at all...didn't have the problem he mentioned...I actually only tried one load....2-50 pellets and a 250 Shockwave...grouped about 1 1/2 at 100 yards....He is a newby to muzzleloaders and called and asked what gun to buy...I had been wanting to shoot an Omega, and liked the Laminated stock over the plastic...I bet it hit 90 degrees that day, so I was glad I didn't have to do any load tuning...He was happy, and ended up killing his first muzzleloader deer with in October with that gun....Good Luck with her...
