Comments on TC Shock Wave Sabots
 

I am looking for comments on the TC Shock Wave sabots. I am thinking of trying them in the 250 grain for my 50 cal.

The easiest thing to do is a search of this forum. I think you will find LOTS of info on them, most of it positive.

Most inline rifles seem to shoot the .50 caliber 250 grain Shockwaves real well. I shoot the 250 & 200 grain. Originally I shot the 300 grains and they all shot good, but the 250 grain were the bullet of choice.

Start them out with 100 grains and if your rifle allows it, push them a little harder and see what happens if you like. 100 grains and that bullet is plenty of medicine for what you need to cure most critters.

TC Shock Waves shoot well in my Omega the 200ge 50/40 wil I think be my bullet of choice as it will shoot 7/8 of an inch when I am shooting well[I like a 2 power scope so thats good for me. But the 250 gr will shoot an inch from 100 to 150 gr [which in my experance is unusual] but it shoots best at 130. I think they are actually shooting better than I can with my hunting scope. Lee

I went on a hunt last year. borrowed a friends .50 Encore. Was using 3 T7 pellets and 250 SW's. # dead deer, none took a step. Ranges from 30 years to around 80 yards.

i shoot the 250's in front of 2 50gr. 777pellets in my encore and three shot groups are all 1 hole. love em here!!

I shot 40 or so 250 gr. shockwaves sighting in and just screwing around with my new T/C Encore 209x50 and they did awesome. I had touching groups. I shot 6 groups of five rounds and didn't have one flyer after I got the thing sighted dead nuts at 100 yards. I was pushing 100 gr. Pyrodex pellets. I want to try the loose 777 next and I am curious to see what 200 gr. Shockwavesand 300 gr. Shockwaves do. I am more accurate with my ML than I ever was with my centerfire rifles. Ive shot at 100gr. and 150 gr. which has a bit more kick and I surprised myself of how I did.

i use them as well out of my encore and they shoot great.
