RE: What Projectile do you shoot?
That is a vast and virtually unlimited question for some of us with multiple ML's, calibers, projectiles, powders, chargesand ignition sources.

Aquatech - let us know how this works. I tried using the regular Harvester 50/45 sabots a couple weeks ago with a Barnes Expander MZ and it worked well. Have never tried to push the Crush Rib Harvesters to magnum pressures - I'll be interested in your accuracy results. Roskoe

MAXI-BALL 370,80 gr.2f, tchawkins flintlock,36 years shooting to HUNT the buck.27 bucks killed in 36 years, none under 6 point. last 4 yearsdo to DOE KILLING , i have not got a buck.this MAXI-BALL has took about 20 of those bucks and roundball on the other 7.its easy to load at 10 below here in pa. it is accurate and deadly on whitetail deer up to 100 yards.unlubed you can get 20 for 6 dollars .i like powerbelt 295 also but they cost 18 dollars for 20.why pay cost of the powerbelt when you can buy 60 bullets of maxi-ball for 20 of powerbelts.the MAXI-BALLS will plow thru a limb also, the powerbelts will open up on limb. MAXI-BALLS are great .

RE: What Projectile do you shoot?
I am using 350 gr. T/C Maxi-Hunters and 95gr. of2F powder out of my flintlock. I've killed two deer with it, a shed antler buck, and a 5pt.
The shed antler was hitin the neck (wiggled from hangfire) andhe dropped on the spot. The 5pt. was shot at 40 yds with alow Q.A. shot. Hewould have died in 60 yds, but I jumped on his trail too soon andpushed him another 100 yds. He bedded down a total of three times. I think the maxi-hunter hurt him really bad and he didn't want to move too much. Iblame the160 yd trail on my poor shotplacement,1 lung and liver, and me getting on the trail too soon. Therewas a respectable blood trail to follow however.

Killed a small buck, this year, with a 348 gr., plastic tipped, Power Belt over 135grs. of 3f/777. Didn't like the fact that the bullet blew apart without even making a mark on the opposite side.
