ruger 77/50
 

Hi from NH, I was just wondering if anyone had anything to say about theRuger 77/50 I never see any post about it. My brother works @ Ruger and he says they stopped making them a couple years ago.He just bought one online brand nib, stainless and with a composite stalk for $259. I saw it today, nice looking rifle.

I'll second that they are great looking, and I really like the feel of them when you shoulder them - but any more than that I am not sure of. A freind of mine has one and his only compliant has come from cleaning - he says he is un-happy with the the way the trigger assembly is mounted and during cleaning a lot of debris can or does go down into the trigger assembly.

I havent used one but they look nice. They have some real good prices at CDNN Investments. They have walnut /blue 249.99, synthetic/blue 239.99, synthetic/stainless 269.99, and laminate/stainless 299.99. They did have the officers model but sold out. This rifle only has a 22 inch barrel and I dont know the charges it is rated for. It should be a strong rifle. Its made from the same steel as their centerfires. I saw that a 209 conversion kit is available either at Cabelas or Bass Pro if you get one cause they come with a #11 plug/nipple only.. I just read the online manual for their rifle and it said you should never go past 120 grains of FFg no matter what size projectile is used.. It doesnt say anything about charges in pelletized form.

Thanks for the info,I was looking to see what you guys had to say about this gun. I will relate allinfo to my brother. As for myself I shoot TC rifles,I have 4 of them. Thanks again.
