I have a CVA Hunterbolt and have not used a gun that shoots better then it. Its accurate and very dependable. Even in our Canadian climate it still performs great.

TC Omega Z5 50 Cal
Knight Bighorn 50 cal
TC Renegade Hunter 50 cal

I love my muzzleloaders and hunt with them 95% of the time during muzzleloader and regular rifle season. With the recent addition of the Omega, it will likely be 100% now! I can't use them during bow season, but that is ok too, I love to bowhunt also. I like the challenge of both.

Shooting 10-15 pounds of powder a year from severalinlinesand sidelock percussions and flints.

If it loads from the muzzle, then it's what I am most often shooting.

Traditions PA pellet, 50 cal flintlock. Kind of a modernized flintlock if ever there was such a thing. Removeable breechplug and will shoot 777 and Pyrodex darn good. You Must prime with real BP though! It supposedly can shoot anything from RB to conical to sabots.

RE: What kind of muzzleloader do you use?

I mainly use my Thompson Center Renegade kit rifle in .50 cal. I also trade off with my Thompson Center Firehawk in .54 caliber. This year I kiled a doe on the last day of muzzleloading season with a Millenium Designed Muzzleloader(MDM) Quicshooter in .50 caliber with a Pine Ridge 2.5x7 power scope. This is the first year for me hunting with a scoped muzzleloader. I dont know why. I just usually prefer open sights. Just got a new CVA Firebolt Magnum from Cabelas in .45 cal. for 119.00 and cant wait to get to the range. They have some left in the bargain cave for 109.00. Will be getting a CVA .45 Kodiak magnum in nickle and camo shortly.
