The area that I hunt gets driven & pushed very hard during the regular firearm week and I have never done well or even seen much during this time. I am however most successful during bow & ML season and to answer your question about late season, I took a nice 10-point on the last day of the year(12-31-04), in an area that has a lot of preasure but had settled down the last few weeks of December. Never give up!

i LOVE the late season.....favorite season to hunt......i either use the snow to try to track them down still hunting(i move to fast and never see them lol) or we drive them.....we have a 2week firearm season that just ended sat.....no deer hunting till dec 26th now....so thats a good couple weeks for them to recoupe and settle down......driving them is our tactic at home......and with barely anyone else in the woods that time of year other then us noone disturbes the deer much...so they stay pretty natural and we drive them while they are feeding and such.....works for us pretty good.....
