What percussion cap?

What are some of the hottest #11 percussion caps? Right now I have the CCI. And I also have 2 very good nipples.

CCI #11 Magnums are good caps. I never had much problem with them. I personally like the Dynamite Noble 1075 cap and that's what I use. For a while I was forced to use Remington caps. In the past I had some terrible luck with them and just had no faith in them but they seem to have gotten a little better. Still, I will stick to the 1075 german caps.

CCI makes two different caps in No. 11 size-"standard" and MAGNUM. The magnum caps are labelled as such on the tin. The CCI Magnum No. 11's are plenty hot, as are RWS caps. And the NEW Remington No. 11's are a big improvement over the old ones.

IF you want really hot, go to October Country's website and buy a Mag-Sparknipple to replace your standard nipple, and use No. 209 shotgun primers. http://octobercountry.com/products3.php?productid=395

The one shown here is metric. But I purchased mine from the manufacturer, Hubbard Outdoor Products, and they havce 1/4X28and U.S. musket thread sizes as well.

Thanks for that info Elde! It's going in a folder for later reference/purchase.

Then try the CCI #11 Magnums. They even work with Pyrodex in my sidelock rifles.

try the RWS 1075+ plus they are super hot and may be hard to locate. I tested them by dropping them in water for 5 min: and they still fired
