What size rings for a Disc Elite with 44 mm scope?
 

I recieved a Knight Disc Elite last week and my new Simmons Aetec scope with a 44 mm objective lens. The rings supplied with the Knight which are nice don't provide quite enough height and I don't know exactly what type or size they are.

So I'm off to Gander Mtn and possibly Cabelas tomorrow and was wondering if anyone know's what size rings may work with this setup that come in silver.

ML season opens tomorrow and I'm running out of time, hoping to get things mounted and sighted in soon. If not I'll use my Wolverine, but want to shoot the new ML.

I know you need high leupold rings with standard bases with a 50mm. And you need medium for 40mm. That is you use leupold bases with dovetail. I work this way. I would buy both. Cause I hate making several trips. Then return the ones you don't need. I would mount it low as possible with 1/8"-1/4" room at the objective.

I can not ell you fot sure, I do not own a Knight - my 40mm require a medium height ring and looking at my RemingtonsI am not really sure you could get a 44mm on and have room to adjust it back and forth to a comfortable eye relief it would really be close. The A&H has high rings and I have plenty of room for adjustment there. Hopefully someone with a Knight will respond and their information will be more accurate....

I wonder if anyone knows off hand what brand and size rings are shipped with the Knight? Forgot to ask that in the original post.

I see Knight sells the high Weaver's on there site, but there's no pictures to know what I have in comparison to whatever they provided and what they sell. Of course I misplaced the knight packing that the rings came in. And after digging around on Midway's web site, I'm not finding the info I need.

Of course maybe things will get clearer when I hit a shop with a decent selection of rings.
