Hi Ryan,
I'm very new to BP shooting and was wondering what a Traditions pa pellet gun is. Is it a BP load that actslike a shotgun where you load a bunch of pellets coming out instead of one bullet?

The PA Pellet is a .50 caliber traditional style rifle. It comes in flintlock or percussion cap. They have a 1-48 twist most of the time are are actually designed to shoot sabots by the cut of the rifling. Most people that own them shoot a 240 grain Hornady XTP with approximatey 85 grains of powderwith very good results.

It gets its name PA Pellet because it has a removable breech plug, and can shoot actual pellets. In the case of the flintlock they suggest that you duplex load 10 grains of black powder prior to dropping the pellets (if that is what you care to shoot and most people do not) down the bore.

The traditional design rifles come in composite stock, camo stock, even nickel barrel if you wish. They are well liked in areas where traditional muzzleloaders are still demaned in order to take advantage of their muzzleloader seasons. They like them because of the removable breech plug.

I think before I went with this rifle, I would look into the Thompson Center Firestorm which has the same features and some other options which might be things you traditional shooters would find interesting.
