if it doesn't rain tomarrow me and my dad are goin to go out and finish sightin in the ML,,and my question is what do yall use to clean the bore in-between shots,,i have never did so before cause i didnt know u needed to till i started comin here so i am needin suggestion on what to use.

inline muzzleloaders ... I use a mix of 91% isopropyl alcohol and car windshield washer fluid 50/50. Damp a patch and work it from the muzzle to the breech in short strokes, getting the strokes longer as you go down the bore. Flip that over and work the other side. Then run two dry patches afterward to make sure the bore is dry before loading the next round.

traditional rifles.. I use 91% isopropyl alcohol to swab the barrel. I swan in the same manner as I do with an inline.

windex with ammonia works great! it's used on all our muzzleloaders when shooting at the game and fish day shoot for the kids. cleans them well, and doesn't cost like some of the name brand cleaners.

Being such short notice.... grab the spray bottle of Windex. It can be any variety... ie... plain - clear - with ammonia or with vinegar.

You can use some good old spit it has worked for me for over 50 years.
just do like cayugad says work it down in short jabs,turn the patch over run it down and back out.

Before you go grocery shopping. Try to pick up a cleaner from a gun shop.
If not I guess you have to use Spit Or Ammonmia or Vinegar. Good Luck**
