T/C .54 Renegade loads
A couple of questions to the community.
1. Do any of you shoot a T/C Renegade .54 cal with a 1/48 twist or similiar gun?
and
2. Have you found any powder/bullet combinations that are accurate or loads you have found that simply don't work in that twist.
Thanks in advance for any help.
P.S....I'm fearful that I have a "jack of all trades, but master of none" type of rifle.

405 grain Powerbelt with 85 grains of Goex 2f. This is real good out to the 100 yard range. My one Renegade with the peep sight really likes the Powerbelt. A couple of the other Renegades will take them or leave them.
100 grains of Goex 2f and a .530 patched Roundball. Home made lube, home cut patch of .018 thickness. This is good to 100 yards any day of the week, and will take deer right off their feet.
300 grain R.E.A.L. conical and 85 grains of Goex 2f. Some of the rifles like a wonder wad some of them do not.
426 grain Buffalo Bullet Hollow Point Conical on top of 80 grains of Pyrodex (been a few years since I shot these). If you put this in the front shoulder of a deer, you can forget about that area for anything. It will be blood soaked!! That's why I went to the R.E.A.L. conicals. They do less tissue damage.
Don't overlook the roundball. If your shots are all 75 yards and under, there is no better projectile then that roundball. Very accurate, and very hard hitting.

What have you tried in the gun so far??? I'm a dedicated round ball shooter...but I have a couple of buddies that used to shoot 80gr ff with a .530 ball and .015 patch...one was a T/C Hawken the other was a CVA Hawken style...

I've had the gun for 14 years and I have shot it very little. I have spent most of my time hunting with a bow or a rifle and recently decided to "get into" hunting with themuzzleloader and just put the smokeless powder away.
