New Omega
Hello All,
I've been lurking this board for some time now gathering as much info as I could before I set off to the range.
I bought a new Omega w/thumbhole stock and put a new Meuller 2x7 scope on it and had it bore sighted at the local gun shop (It's a sweet setup). I was shooting 2 50gr T7 pellets w/250gr Shockwave's. The first three shots were 1" left at 50 yards. Five clicks right and the next three shots were dead center. I moved out to 100 yds expecting it to drop some, but all five shots were dead center! Actually shot out the center of the target. This has got to be the best range time ever. Also, I swabbed between every shot with 50/50 Windex/alcohol.
I already bagged 2 deer this season w/my bow, so there's venison in the freezer. Now I can wait patiently for the big one!
Thanks for all the good info and keep it coming!

How do you like that Mueller Scope? I have looked at their site. The lighted center really is interesting. Does that seem to get in the way when shooting?
Sounds like you have a great shooting rifle and set up.. Good luck shooting and hunting.

So far so good with the scope. The red dot has 11 brightness positions. I had it off today since it was a bluebird day. I took it out in the yard at dusk yesterday, the scope draws nice light and the dot was sharp (no wavy tails). Saturday's opening ML here in Va, but I work, so Monday I'll put it through test where it really counts!
