Muzzleloader Scope

Could I get some recommendations for a muzzleloader scope? I hunt in Minnesota and typically hunt only the ML season during which only open sights are legal. I am going to try the regular firearms season this year as well and would like to add a scope to increase my range.

Something inexpensive would be preferred since I can only use it for alimited time.

Thanks in advance!

I'd just go down to Walmart and pick up a Tasco that is in the range your looking to spend. Good and cheap bare basic beater scopes. I put a Tasco Prong Horn on mine about five years ago and have beat the crap outta it. It doesn't look like much, but it holds zero and that's all I care about. I'm a no frills type of guy, still shooting side locks and round balls. It works great for me! I guess it's all in what you want to spend and the need to keep up with bigger and better. I don't think having the best will make anyone a better hunter. It all comes down to having the skills.

I use a simmons Aetec. Great scope at a great price. Right now they are priced rock bottom. You can get them at Natchezss.com for about $100.

You will get a hundred different answers here unless you tell us how much you're spending on the scope-only.... what size objective you want.... how much eye relief you need.

Some folks think "inexpensive" is $200..... others $89.

By inexpensive I mean less than $100...preferably in the $50 - $70 range.

yep.. with that price range look at the Bushnell Banner Dusk to Dawn in 3-9 or 1.5-4.5 and don't overlook the 32mm. They have some great optics. I have a Banner and it is a great scope. I think it costed me $69.00 and it has taken lots of solid shots, and gathers great light.
