I suggestthe regular45/50 cal (black) Harvesters with your 777 load. No need to up your powder charge. You may need to move up your scope setting a few clicks. But you are still on target to harvest out to 150 yards.

You need HPH24 sabots from mmpsabots.com that will give you an assembled OD of approx. .003 in. less and resultant easier loading.

TE_Dirtracer

If you purchase a 45-50 caliber sabot it will hold either a .451 or a .452 sabot, the only difference will be that the overall package as it goes down the barrel will be slightly larger than the other. And believe me that .001 canseem awful big sometimes.

Randy's suggestion of the MMP HPH-24 is the thinnest sabot that they make and is the one that I use in my Remingtons, Thompsons, and A7H's. I always considered these to be very tight barrels. I load Nosler .451's and Hornady's .452 with these sabots. You can purchase them on line from several places or even from MMP direct

The Harvester's t7 indicated will work also and are used by many people.

There are some new Thompsons out there that the barrels are so tight that you may not get either of these sabots/bullet combinations down. I do not have enough information/eperiance with the Encore to make that call though.

Good luck

RE: Sabot questions?

Thanks for the info guys. Just recieved my order of harvesters today. I miked the thickes comapring them to the ones i received with the shockwaves and the harvesters are .001 thinner than the ones included with the shockwaves so I am gonna head to the range saturday and test them out as far as loading ease. Also recieved som tc magnum express sabots am gonna try those out also. will keep ya posted. Also can anyone suggest a powder charge of i am to be shooting out to 150 yards with the 250 or 300 gr sabots. I am currenty using 100 gr of triple seven.

Try your 100 grain charge first out to those distances. If you feel you are getting too much drop or you want to push the charge do so. If shooting loose push up to 120 grain (in approved rifles.. know your rifles limits) if shooting pellets you can try different combinations all the way up to 150 grains. What ever works best for you, your rifle will tell you.
