RE: GoexPinnacle vs APP vs ShockeyGold Results
Lane - Thanks for sharing! :) Not to read to much into your thread, but in the section where you describe the load you were using, you mention that you used "old" (in bold) Harverster sabots. Are you trying to intentionally add emphasis here?
The reason I ask is that in another thread, I shared my bad experiences using Harvester sabots out of my Encore. Couldn't hit squat with 'em.[:@] Anyway, I probably purchased my sabots 4 or 5 years ago and was just wondering if Harvester perhaps improved them since I purchased mine. This may explain why my experiences were so different from others here who have had much better results. I'm well aware of the Harverster ribbed sabot; I am questioning whether they changed their standard or regular sabot. What do you think? Also, based on your comparison and what you've learned, which powder would you grab if you were gonna be punching more than just paper? From your targets, doesn't seem liked there's much difference to justify spending more on the Shockey stuff. Am I missing something? Thanks again for your post. |

Yes, I'm pretty sure they did change there product since I bought those Harvesters.
And my go too Powder of choice will be the cheapest of the 3!:) But most likely APP 3F. It still pours and meters out better than Pinnacle so far! Shockey Gold pours identical to APP! |

Interesting results especially considering the sabot'd RB. I've considered trying that but haven't yet. How do they work at longer ranges? They must be moving on out at quite a fast pace. Any idea what kind of speed your getting? Have you been able to compare the speed of the 3 powders? Inquiring minds would like to know.
Thanks for the report. |
