Knight QR Rings?

I spoke to customer service at knight rifles yesterday and they told me that they have a large quantity of QR style stainless rings (made for knight by Warne) for sale at the factory for as low as $20. They do not have the bases to go with the rings. I was told that these are steel rings and are a very sturdy design, so steel bases must be used in weaver style - type or model 45? I'm going to use these on my knight elite, so I'm looking for a set of steel bases forit. Any suggestions as to where I might find them? Itwould be nice if they (the bases) were stainless or silver also, so as to match the rings.

RE: Knight QR Rings?

Pete, did Knight tell you those rings took the Weaver-style bases? Warne did make a line that took a special base - I believe they werePremier bases/rings - similar to thethose that weremade for Kimber. Just thinking those QR rings might be that smaller base type as I know Knight did sell those under their label at one time.

Just curious.

Gamaliel closed out a bunch of those type bases some time ago for dirt cheap and might still have some even though I can't locate them there. This page shows the base I am thinking of..... http://www.brownells.com/aspx/NS/store/ProductDetail.aspx?p=15527&title=PREMIER+ALL-STEEL+BASES

If they are the Weaver style Allabouthunting.com has them for 28.25 . Just go there and search for:
