You are right cayagad , powerbelts are expensive . I have not shot an animal with the powerbelts yet , did shoot a 100 pound doe last year with 245 grain hornady holowpoints , and it put her down quickly . It blew thru her and expanded nicely , I hope the powerbelts do the same .

if the powerbelts do not work for you, at least you have a load to fall back on that you know is a known performer. The XTP's have sure take a lot of deer for different people. Even the simple Cheap Shots is credited with a number of deer kills. I think a lot of it boils down to shot placement and then the ability to track. It would shock you, the number of hunters I run into that can to track or follow clear sign.
