Hi I was wondering if anyone knew where i could locate replacement barrels for both a Thompson Center Haken in 50 and a renegade barrel for a Renegade in 50 or 54 as well. any help would be appreciated.

Also Green Mountain Barrel Company sells replacement barrels that will fit the Hawkins and Renegade in both .50 & .54 calibers. You can even get them in .58 caliber and have a real big bore rifle. The Green Mountain Barrels are excellent barrels. They come in 1-28, 1-48 (I think) and 1:70 twist depending on whether you want to shoot sabots, conicals, or roundball. I would strongly recommend the GMB. Give them a call, although they are back ordered on certain model.

Let's see here, T/C is in Rochester NH right off of Rt16, Green Mountain is in Conway NH right off of Rt16. The distance between shops is less than 50 miles. I have done phone work for both companies. (Yeh I'm a telephone guy.)

I hope this isn't a big secret if it is I am sorry but GM has made tons of barrels for T/C. In fact after the fire GM made almost all of their barrels for a time.

Pittsburghunter that is an interesting little bit of information. I always suspected that. In fact I asked a Thompson Center Tech once if that was the case. They kind of hemmed and hawed around and said ThompsonCenter makes their own barrels. I know Knight rifles are all Green Mountain Barrels. You can have a lot of fun with a flintlock with a 1:28 twist Green Mountain Barrel, when you load sabots in it and start plugging the 100 yard bulls eye out ....

I'm one of the jaded lefties who would have to pay top dollar for what they wanted in a flint. I need a .32 for small game I would love it to be my first flint but I won't shoot a right handed one. Caplocks don't bug me much.

If you're looking for percussion, I have a couple of like new .54cal TC Hawken barrels for sale at an excellent price...and I have newRenegadeblue thimbles I can swap out with the current brass Hawken thimbles...

Yes, it's a pretty stock...I wanted a good looking Hawken stock with the 1" barrel channel to set up as a flintlock...selling off the percussion lock and barrel.
A .54cal Flintlock stock I currently have is developing atiny hairline crack running with the grain on the left side, just above the lock bolt hole.

Sent it to TC, theyoffered to replace it, but it's an older stock with a longer LOP and looking through what they had in stock,none were as long as this one...so I had them return it...they were nice enough tosupplyme with the new styletang bolt and threaded trigger guard to strengthen that whole area.

I mounted all that, and next, I'll run a long tiny drill bit down through the left side of the stock wood...markit flush,pull it back out, cut it off 1/8" below the mark,coat it withepoxy andsink it back down as a permanent 'pin'.

With the new style tang bolt & guard, plus this steel pin, there'll be no way the stock will be able to flex and that hairline crack should be contained. Plus,the good news is it's a stock that I only use for Flintlock target practice with light 60grn loads, so it'll be fine.....and most importantly stillfit better than a new one.

Oh no...the barrel is only a few years old, a round ball Flint barrel I bought from TC's Fox Ridge...probably doesn't have more than 1000 balls through it...the stock that Imated to it was an old oneI'd also bought a few yearsago for that verypurpose as it hadabove averagelooks andsfit me better with the longer LOP.
