Question on scopes

This may be a dumb question to some but I need to ask it anyway.Im placing a 3X9X40 scope on a Knight muzzleloader.I want to zero it in at 50 yards. The scope reads 1 click=1/4 inch at 100 yds.Setting the scope at 50 yards would 1 click=1/8 inch or 1/2 inch? Thanks.

RE: Question on scopes

At 50 yards 1 click is 1/8".

No stupid questions, just stupid answers<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

RE: Question on scopes

If you have a scope adjustment that gives a 1&quot; change in point of impact for each click @ 100 yards, it will give 1/2&quot; (0.5&quot;)change @ 50 yards, and 1/4&quot; (0.25&quot;) @ 25 yards, etc. If you have a scope with a 1/4&quot; (0.25&quot;) click, it will take 8 clicks to move your POI 1&quot; @ 50 yards, and 16 clicks to move it 1&quot; @ 25 yards.

Keep yore powder dry!!
