Building a Hawkens kit from Cabela's. While I wait for the browning solution from Track of the Wolf, I figured I would get projectiles and powder ordered. Any suggestion what I should shoot? (Type, Weight . etc.....)
A real newbie to this , so any help would be appreciated. TIA |
RE: Loads
Did you get a .50 caliber?

ORIGINAL: NYC OZ Building a Hawkens kit from Cabela's. While I wait for the browning solution from Track of the Wolf, I figured I would get projectiles and powder ordered. Any suggestion what I should shoot? (Type, Weight . etc.....) A real newbie to this , so any help would be appreciated. TIA You might find that the projectiles load too easy. In that case you can increase to a .535 or .495 diameter roundball but usually the other size will work well. If you want to shoot conicals, then get some T/C maxi ball 370 grain and a tube of bore butter.... |
RE: Loads

RE: Loads
70 grains pyrodex and a patched round ball, thats what i would go with first.
