What Anti-Seize do you use on Breech Plug?
I see TC has Gorrilla Grease, Anti-Seize Coumpound and a Anti-Seize Tape. And I'm sure there are more.
So which works the best? |

I just use some regular choke tube grease, never had a problem with it.

Of all the anti sieze compounds I have used I like the CVA Slick Nipple and Breech Plug brand. I had some terrible luck with the Thompson Center. Of all the stuck breech plugs I had, it was when using Thompson Center Breech Plug Grease. I have used the tape but be sure and put a film of the breech plug grease on the tape.

I have had good results with the Gorilla Grease, also keep in mind you don't have to wrench the breech plug super tight.I just tighten till it stops.

I use regular old multi purpose automotive grease, you can get a 2 lbs tube at wal mart for 99 cents sure beats buying name brand muzzle loader grease at 3 to 4 dollars for a couple ounces. Basically you can use any grease aslong as it will hold up to high tempature.

The best grease I've used is the CVA slick grease. However, when shooting 777 powder - only the breech plug tape will prevent my Knight's plug from sticking.
