elk hunt in N.M. area 13?
 

hi anyone ever hunted area 13 in new mexico for elk? i have hunted in 15b but that is a very hard tag to get,thought about 13 for 2006. any info would be nice! thanks

i take it this must not be a private ranch area? or a drive around and shoot area? or is it a no 270's allowed area?

if anyone has hunted here i would trade info on wyoming elk, for n.m. area 13 info! thank you!

I have hunted it and we have shot some good bulls out of that unit including 2 over 375" P&Y.

The best way to hunt that unit is to hunt the public land along the ranch borders.

In many instances, you can catch them moving between the private ranches or pull them off a private ranch.

thank you spyro- did u hunt in the north or south of 13? i looked at where the hwy from sacorro and the hwy to grants meet, that area? thanks again!;)
