Pure vanilla extract is supposed to be a good scent for bear and I use it as a cover scent for deer hunting with excellent results. Cheap too.

I've used a combination of the above. I use liquid smoke by it's self as a attract scent and a cover scent. I use a mixture of Anise, Vanilla, Almond extract. It is very powerful you may want to dilute with distilled water.
