I actually prefer Federal Seirra's 150 Gr for my 270.

You can't go wrong between your two choices. The partition is a tryed and proven bullet, and the bear claw is maken a name for itself too. If ya can, shoot them both through your rifle, one may group better than the other, if so, let that be the deciding factor.

I’m not sure why everyone wants to use high price bullets for Mule Deer out of a 270 Win. If you can afford them, then by all means use them. I personally think that Hornady, Speer and Serria are all great bullets for Mule Deer. You even get 100 bullets to a box. I have shot four Large Deer in the past five years and all were 1 shot kills. All were with a 308 Win and 180 gr. Hornady BTSP. All bullets went though and left a baseball size hole one the other end.

Hornadys an' boattails are fine ifn you wanna wreck yer deer. On anythin' bigger, you may never find the critter. Been against these bullets fer many a year til I heard thet they were "improved". So bein' the fair minded individual I am, I gave the Hornady SSTs a chance on antelope Sunday. They shoot real good, I'll say thet. One shot, 306 yards, dead buck. The base of the jacket stayed right in the roast. Common with boattails. The core divided into two pieces an one lodged in the other roast, the rest of the core an' many lil' flecks of jacket exited on the 3rd rib, passin' thru the heart an' stomach. The jacket pieces were imbedded all around the exit wound, long with stomach contents everwhar. Stick with the partitions an' such. These cheap bullets may shine on paper, but they sure ain't fit fer game.

Any bullet that works on whitetails will work on mulies. You don't need a super strong bullet out of a .270 Win. on deer size game. Any of the "regular" bullets will work great. I would pick one that is the most accurate and wouldn't get hung up on "premium" bellets unless you are hunting elk also.
