RE: I DREW A TAG!!!!!
Congratulations. Let me ditto the posts saying they're glad you're getting in shape.
Even if you're a marathoner, if you're not a horseman, exercise those knees and inner thighs and do hours of wall sits. Better yet, ride periodically for a few weeks before just to get the knees ready. I'm 46 and a purty strong runner, but my knees get ruined for the first two days on horseys. I walk around like an old, old man. Preventive ibuprofen and riding, walking, riding, walking finally cure me on the third day. Get off and walk a lot; you'll keep up. Ride up hill and walk down hill.
Next time I get a chance to go, I am going to either ride for weeks before the hunt or set up a saddle on a wooden horse and exercise the knees every night.
Good Luck!!!

Thanks for the suggestion jones123, I have a neighbor who has horses and I am planning on talking to him about riding one of his horses around the pasture. I think about 6-8 weeks of periodic riding will get my legs, knees, butt and everything else prepared.

Good on ya. Just put lots of pressure on the stirrups when you practice. That's what makes the knees ache after a couple of hours. By the time you're ready to hunt, it won't hurt at all. Then you should be ready to go. Bring ibuprofen!
