You darn well better not be shooting anything the size of a man that walks around (all the time) on his hind feet! I can see the headlines "'Hunter' Who Shot Innocent Man Said It Was BIGFOOT" - "He'll Be Arraigned Monday".
The jury would be sure to convict you, as would I.
