Incredible Mountain Lion Pics

Got these e-mailed to me today. All the e-mail said was that this was in St George, UT, taken by the owner of the hounds. Loks like I can only upload one photo per post, so there will be more.

They probably have white tips and with the snow and light grey sky it makes them look like they don't have tails.

I used to live in St. George and when they say red rock they mean it. The dirt is even red. It would be very easy to mistake the coloration for blood. That area usually gets very little snow though.

rather, now that I have looked at it again I believe you are correct. I remember about 10 years ago going on a spring break trip during college to Moab Utah. We were all into Mountain bikes and hiking at the time. I do remember comming back to camp each day looking like I was covered in red chalk.

Great pics!

Looks like one of the dogs caught some claws due to the red in the snow

When my dad shot his lion the guide had lost one of his dogs to a lion in a similar situation. The lion just swatted the dog off the cliff. Pretty sad for the owner and dog but you can't blame the lion.

Great pics----I swear I got the same picture except in reverse--the cliff and lion were on the extreme right hand side of the pic. It was posted in the western forum on the wolves post just as an added attraction---I am now using it as my screen saver--totally awesome--were you the same guy that posted it there? or maybe it was your friend

You're welcome for the post. Sorry, but I don't know anything about the pics - just e-mailed to me by a hunting buddy that copied a lot of people.

Hillbilly, I did check out the Wolf posts.

Yeah, that is the same photo; summitdawg must be left-handed. You can see by the date stamp that MINE are correct! Doesn't he know you always approach lions from the right? I thought everybody knew that.

This is just some e-mail I got that has been going around. I don't know anything about it. Sure would like it if someone finds out, though.
