I agree with bigbulls....when you are out for days at a time (even with 2 or 3 changes of clothing) scent control is difficult. Sweaty clothes are a given during September (most days) and campfire smoke, coffee, bacon, and an evening stoagie all add to scent control issues. Obviously, the wind in your face is the only thing that matters at crunch time.

I think scent-lok was invented by some out-of-work chemist as a ploy
to get rich by duping unwary hunters looking for an edge:eek: but
really do we need this stuff. The guys in my unit in Viet Nam did
not use scent anything just good camo. Last year I took my grandson deer hunting, two does walked within 15 yards never new
what hit the lead doe. I was in wally world camo he was in flannel shirt and jeans. So I don't have all the answers but sometimes you just got to back-up and use the old noggin[8D]

BareBack, you ought to try bow hunting here in FLA. in September @ 80&85*.
I don't bow hunt, but ML and rifle hunt in Sept. & Oct. @ 70&75*.
I would die of heat stroke with Scent-Lok.
Get a clean 5gal bucket, fill with clean cold water and add 2 boxes of Strong Arm
baking soda. Stir it good till mixed and add your hunting shirts and pants that
where washed with NO SCENT soap, let stand for 4 or 5hrs and hang to let them drip dry.
When dried put them in plastic bags and don't wear untill ready to hunt, also try not to
wear your shoe's untill ready to hunt. If you do, you are going to pick many oders,
like Bath Rooms and Gas Stations from Kwik-Marts.

Laundry soaps that you use at home are enriched with UV enhancers to make your
clothes whiter and brighter, deer and elk can see into the UV Spectrum and will spot
you at 1000yds or more. Its a good Idea to read the labels on hunting clothing, most
dyes are UV enhanced. US military camo is NOT.
