Different varieties of water buffalo, generally....

Australia and South America.... wicked

Asia.... mostly common "cattle"

Can't apply generalities to specifics.

Probably beneficial to know which side of that electric fence you are on. ;)
Being 10' up in the swamp buggy though, that's kinda taking the "fun" (misry/risk) out of it! :D

old elk & elk master: how many times have you hunted Asian Water Buffalo?
you are correct that some of them are no more than tame cattle, but then again I've seen lions and lepoards in petting zoos too! Neither are docile when left to revert to their own habitat be it a 100 acre pen or the velt.
BTW most game in RSA is now hunted on the same type of game ranch.

Glen I see what you're saying about 2 guys shooting at one animal. I think there are some organizations that along with the danger factor of a given species and region of the world involved will accept the animal into their record books (SCI is a good example). I consider myself somewhat of a hunting purist and that personally wouldn't be my particular brand of Vodka. But different strokes for different folks I guess.
