Need a Spotting Scope
 

I need a spotting scope mainly for use at the range shooting at 200 yds, it has to be sharp for my eyes aren't the best in the world. Some use in the field close to the road so weight is of less importance. What power, objective, and brand? $400-$600.

After looking at many different brands and price ranges of spotting scopes! I went with the Bushnell Sentry its very clear and comes with a tripod and a clip that will work on your vehicle window. Walmart.com has them for $169.00.

For that price, the 15X Leupold gold ring spotter is an excellent choice. Excellent optics, light, very clear, and small enough to stick in your range bag or backpack if you need it, yet large enough for spotting from vehicles or other vantage points.

The bushnell elite 15x45x60 is an excellent choice.

I have the leuplod windriver 15-45x. It is advertised as waterproof. What ever you choose make sure that it is totally waterproof if it is going to be used in the field. The clarity is good and it runs in the 250.00 range.

Losthwy, Optics are the most important tool for hunting I own. I use them for sheep, elk, deer, turkey. I use them all day long, I got tired of headaches so I spent money. I went with oddly enough a Cabelas brand 20-60x60 item QR-710102. Been a great scope for me. But your eyes will be different than mine, so go to a shop and check them all out. You will see a difference between models. The best tip I can give you is the bigger the objective lens the better the scope will be in low light. I pack one all over Colorado and weight can be an issue you have to look at also.
