Looking for a reasonable Bear Hunt...
Hey,
I am currently looking to book a hunt for black bear this fall<img src=icon_smile_question.gif border=0 align=middle> I have seen prices ranging from 1500.00 to 3800.00. I am trying to do this on a budget, if you know what I mean? I am looking for a decent hunt for around 750 or so. Anyone have any suggestions or positive experiences with decent priced outfitters. I am from Michigan, looking to head to Canada? Thanks, Zimmer |

RE: Looking for a reasonable Bear Hunt...
Tim thanks for the tips. That is what I have been finding out. Do it yourself only saves you a few greenbacks. I think I am going to search for a hunt around 1100 or so. What is the success rate with the guide you are hunting with? Good luck in Canada.

RE: Looking for a reasonable Bear Hunt...
One thing you might do is get ahold of a booking agent and ask about cancelled hunts. Sometimes you can pick them up at a good price, because somebody has already put down 1/2 of the money for the hunt
Only problem is when they call you'll have to be ready to go. Sometimes several weeks notice and sometimes next week. |
