308. it has a bigger bullet diameter and weight.

I don't think there is a REAL difference. The moose won't be able to tell--he'll just be dead.

I would take the rifle that you shoot the best or the one that has the best scope on it.

Bullets-----150 grain in the 270. 180 grain in the 308. CB
