I was lucky enough to draw a Colorado Unit 28 Moose tag after 15 years of applying. I have been scouting the area really hard this summer – logged over 21 days a field but have had a tough time finding moose.
I am spending a far amount of time over there this month prior to my season next month. If anyone is hunting archery elk or deer up there this month I’d appreciate hearing if you see any moose at all!
Thanks to anyone who responds!!!

Sorry man can't help in 28. You beat some long odds on drawing that tag. I'm still trying after 15 years. Good Luck on the hunt. Just an idea but try the local DOW office. I'm pretty sure all moose have to be taken there to be checked. If it's like sheep & mtn goats, you have to tell the drainage & mark it on a map for the DOW.
I did this several years ago with Mtn Goats in G13. The DOW field office had the sheets for the past 2 years there. I got the topo map out & marked the sites. It gave me a starting point----found goats there also. The lady there was really helpful-----even said on a couple reports--I don't believe this one---Let's skip it.

Thanks for the post.
Actually the Regional Biologist is my hunting partner so I have picked the brains of the DOW. I am looking for recent sightings this fall. The moose in the unit tend to move alot and it's a big unit! Marked all of the harvest reports in may when I found out I drew... Just trying to identfy any rummors of big bulls in the unit.
Thanks again!
