It really depends on how much you want to spend. I have a Nikon 16x47x60. It is VERY clear. I got it a few years ago for around $400 (for the kit) It came with a tripod and carrying case. You can get a window mount for it for around $30.
I really can't give any input on alot of the real inexpensive scopes...but a buddy mine has a Bushnell (not sure which model) but it was about $120 and there is no comparison between the two. I guess it's up to you. Check out http://natchezss.com/ they usually have real good optics prices, especially when they put them on sale.

Leupold makes a 15x45x60mm for $206 at
midway I don't have one yet but have never heard anything bad about the wind river
models

I have Leupolds 12x40x60mm. it also has a window mounting kit I believe. Its clear out to farther then that. We are having a few problems with images on the Leupolds though and I can tell ya they do stand behind there products so its definatly worth the cash!!!

We just got the Nikon Spotter XL last night, its very very nice. water and fog proof also.

Whatever you do check out all the online shops before you buy anything, go to the Better bussiness Bureau website in that state and do a search on the company.. We made the mistake of ordering thru a company called cambridgeworld.com for a scope cause they were the cheapest..they pulled the bait and switch on us and 235 other people in the last 2 years. and we still havnt gotten our money back..
