I would feel comfortable shooting a .308 for bison. Remember it is all about shot placement. From the sounds of it, you are going to take quite a thrashing from a .358 or a .375 H&H Mag.

If that is what you've got and you can handle them, then I suppose either will work.

Seems like odd "only ones available" calibers for a 14 year old to be limited to. Usually such rifles are added to an existing rack of rifles as the rack reaches "maturity".

Either rifle will do the job; you have to determine which rifle you can shoot best. Good luck on your Bison hunt.

Use your bow with cut on contact broadheads. The Bison you are going to hunt are tame. Ask them if they charge extra if you pet the bison before you shoot it?
If you use a rifle? Anything chambered in 270-winchester or larger will work just fine. Your shots will be at close range.

Wolf killer that is not good advice. Have you ever hunted there? It is an 11 thousand acre ranch

Well I guess if you call getting your shoulder dislocated fun then... I would go with your .308 JMO...
