Wyoming elk area 64

I already put htis post in th West forum, but sometimes people don't over lap. I drew an elk tag in area 64 (the type 2 license which opens November 1) and was wondering if anyone has hunted here or knows much about the area. I know some about the area, but was looking for a little more in depth knowledge such as in the LU ranch any good? There is a lot of BLM land in the eastern part of the area, how's the elk and deer hunting in that part? Is the forest section worth a look? I have heard I should hold out for a 300 point bull, any one have a different opinion? Any suggestions or input would be appreciated.

Is that average in area 64 or is that Nationwide? I haven't gotten a chance to talk to anybody up that way yet, but I'm working on it. I was hoping some more of the Wyoming residents would know the size of bulls and the area up around Meeteetse/Thermopolis. Thanks
