SATURDAY WAS THE DAY!!!!!!!!
 

Finally, Saturday is the day for the Oryx hunt. originally the hunt was to be a two day hunt. 9-11 changed that. The hunt is taking place on White Sands Missle Range and is a once in a lifetime hunt. I cannot remember the last time I was so wired for a hunt. I've already got a case of buck fever. A mature bull Oryx supposedly goes around 600 pounds and a cow nearer 450 pounds. All hunters are required to meet at the gate to the Range at 0600hrs for a mandantory safety briefing. The hunt starts at daylight and ends at dark. Wish me luck, I need it.

Good luck hope you have a safe hunt Big Bob. An Oryx is an African antelope that has back sweeping horns like a sable.

Good Luck guy. I dont think you will need it
though. I have heard people who were on those
hunts say that the ranger or whoever is patrolling the base would come up to a hunter
and ask him if they had their oryx yet. If they said no, they would say come with me and
lead them right to a herd. Honest! <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
