This being your second time it should be almost 100%.

It used to be on a preference point system, and 1 point was a lock for getting picked. Now it is a "bonus" point, which means that you will have 2 beans in the pot this year, but no gaurantee. That said, probably 95% chance.

I was out there in Nov. My outfitter said it's almost a lock.

my friend and i put in seperate applications last year and both drew combo licenses. 2 of my dad's friends got drawn for deer tags. so that's 4 successful draws on the first try.

i am planning on going again next year and would be interested to know the stats also.

Maybe if you can afford a non-resident hunting license they'll let you hunt here, dunno really but as previously said, the more you apply you get point preverence from previous hunts applied for. If I were you though, hunting in Colorado or Wyoming is far better, there is hardly any game here to be found anymore. Strongly suggest hunting another state. ;) Bobby

i would have to agree, except i would suggest colorado because they just raised the big game license fee in wyoming and the wolves are eating what little game we have left;);):D;)

i heard a rumor that by 2007 (with the current increase rate)there will be enough wolves to manage the population of wild game in eastern Idaho, southern montana, and most of Wyoming with out the need for hunting.

i hope the biologist was just messing with me but he is a true bunny hugger and a damn well educated one

I know quite a few people here with enough Self Issue permits that it would never come to that.;)

Nope, we are out of deer and elk here in Colorado, I'd suggest Nevada, they have great hunting over that way:)
