Looking for Western Spring Bear Hunt

I'm looking to hunt spring bear in the lower 48, unguided. I'm looking hard at units 10, 12 in Idaho. Also interested in west montana or wyoming. Too poor to hunt Canada. Anybody hunted there? Any tips or info would be appreciated.
