The results are available now. Did you draw? I was lucky this year.

Yes sir! We drew our antelope tags.

There will be three of us going out from Ohio/Pennsylvania and one meeting us there from Colorado.

My unit runs October 1st-15.

What works best for everybodys schedule is to be hunting October 7-12(Monday-Saturday)

Do you think going the second week is going to be alright?

I'm hoping that avoids crowds. But I don't want everything already to be shot off public land.

Considering that there are less than 150 Type 1 tags, and of that number 114 were given to residents, I would bet that you will not have too much pressure on public land on the dates you have chosen. I believe that most residents only hunt the start of the season and on weekends, and most non-residents hunt the first week. Pronghorns are easily pushed onto private land when the season opens but they will start drifting back to their normal areas when the pressure is reduced. You may be hitting it just right.

Did you get a chance to look at point creep in the drawing odds yet? Even with all of your points it was not a "sure thing" this year.

I've not had a chance yet.

Hunting as we know it is changing though. And the demand for license will continue to drive the price and applications higher and higher.

Thankful to be drawn this year and hope I can make the best of it
