PNW big game

Hey guys new to the forum just looking for a little advice picking out a scope for my 300win mag. Looking for something versatile, reliable and durable in all weather types. I hunt mainly in the PNW from the coast to the desert. My target price is under $500 so I know right out the gate I’m limited. I chose a few that I thought were the best bang for the buck and had the best reviews. Let me know what you guys think any insight is appreciated!!
Crossfire ii 4-16x50mm AO Bdc $209.00 23.6oz FOV=25’-3.7’

Crossfire ii 6-18x44mm BDC $167.00 19.6oz FOV=15.2’-5.2’

Burris fullfield e1 LR 4.5-14x 42mm $273.00 15.3oz Fov=22’-7.5’

Nikon monarch 3 BDC 4-16X 42mm $300 FOV=25.2’-6.3’

Nikon prostaff 5 BDC 3.5-14 40 17.2oz 1” $249
FOV=28.6’-7.2

These are not in any particular order.
Also those are the cheapest prices I found from local dealers and pro deals ;)
I’m leading towards the Burris or the Prostaff.

hey thanks. Let me know if you have any other recommendations in that price range. Also do you have experience with this particular scope?

For $500 I'd get a Leupold.

I was looking at the VX3i in 3.5-10x but I want a little more power for the 500+ shots. Im sure the clarity and glass are better quality overall. Although the cds and side parallax options only come with a extra charge over $500. I told myself I wont put a scope on that's more expensive than my rifle (Weatherby Vanguard)

I have a Leupold VX 3i 4.5-14x40 CDS with side focus on my .300 Weatherby Vanguard.
I liked that scope so much that I replaced the Nikon Prostaff 4-12x40 BDC that I had on my Remington 700 7 mm Rem mag with another VX 3i 4.5-14x40 CDS with side focus scope.
I also have a Leupold VX 3i 4.5-14x40 CDS without side focus on my .308 Win Weatherby Vanguard,
and a Leupold VX Freedom 3-9x40 scope on my .223 Rem Weatherby Vanguard.

I like the CDS turrets and I really like the side focus option.

I also have an older Leupold VX II 2-7x on my Remington 700 .375 RUM,
and a Leupold VX 4.5-14x40 with their B&C reticle on my Mark X .257 Ackley.

I guess I just like Leupold scopes. :patriot:

I also have many of the leupolds VX III's in 4.5x14 and cds options too, been super reliable and accurate holding scopes
have on calibers 338 ultra mag down to .22-250's
never had a issue with any of them(must have about 20 or so of these scopes too)
have seen them on sale many times for under 500 bucks too
all depends on where you whop and WHEN,

Of the choices you list, i would go Nikon. I am a DIEHARD Leupold guy, I own 2 Nikon Pro Staffs and they are just as clear. As for Rugged, Reliability i Say Leupold ALL the Way. Personally I would avoid the Vortex Crossfires, The Crossfire line is made in China, If i were to go Vortex i would at least go Diamondback, or better yet, try and Catch a Viper on Sale.

For the most part I believe you get what you pay for with Glass such as Scopes/Binoculars etc. Believe me, I know the Feeling of Spending more on a Scope than a Rifle. I also believe, and have witnessed it first hand Where The Rifle was only as good as the Optics on it allowed
