Eagle Cap Wilderness Muzzle Loader Hunt.
 

I am looking to hunt the Eagle Cap Wilderness Oct 10 to Oct 22 this year. It will be my first time hunting post rut elk and first time hunting the Eagle Caps. I personally don't want to hire a pack in service. My thought is to find drainages and various sanctuaries closer to the wilderness boundary vs going in 6 or 7 miles. If this is a flawed idea and someone can share insight I would appreciate information.
