Default First Muley

Got my first muley. It has been at the top of my bucket list for quite a while now and I ended up getting him from my home state of Oklahoma off public land. Not a huge buck but I am tickled to death.

Thank ya, I'm already planning a muzzleloader trip up there for next year. The only downside is the sand hills are pretty thick with brush. Most of the hunting we do here in Oklahoma you can drag the deer out to the truck with a little effort. This area however is walk in and from what I seen the better bucks seemed to be a few miles in. Flat ground I would be ok but this brush is pretty thick just to walk thru without trying to drag lol. I doubt even a sled would work as much of the brush is about head high. I'll have to start doing some research on packing out for sure.

He was probably only 60 to 80 yrds out when I shot. Watched him mount a doe then shot when he finished lol. Had a much larger one that I was able to stalk to 260 yrds but he would never settle down for a shot. Kept chasing a doe through the hills.

Congrats on a fine muley. Is Oklahoma OTC tags or a draw?
