Moose hunt - Newfoundland

Hi. I booked a moose hunt in Newfoundland. And picked Portland creek outfitters , they were at the Harrisburg PA show. Does anyone have any info good/bad on them
Thank you

Personally I'd do that sort of research before booking.

From what I've read and seen on tv you can shut your eyes and throw a rock and you'll hit a moose in Newfoundland. You should be able to bring home a ton of meat!!!!

Well Tatonka your information is incorrect. I hunted with an outfitter for 3 days before finally filling my tag. My friend got his on the 5th day.
I did see a monster black bear on day 2. Ask your outfitter if he charges anything extra for a "stumble on" black bear. If not or the extra cost is not that much I'd buy a bear tag for your hunt.

I too booked a moose hunt at the show. I spoke to the guy at length, and I liked him. Seemed like a good honest guy. Didn't even ask for 10 cents. Told me I can send the deposit next year.
