That being said I know I'll get my tag since I always put in for a private land tag on the eastern plains and that tag is always undersubscribed and I have 10,000 acres to hunt on. I always get a point as first choice and that tag as second choice. I've got something like 15 points right now and not sure when I'll cash them in. Got 21 for elk too.
Getting a point isn't "lucky." Everyone that doesn't draw first choice gets a point every year they put in.

Can some one refresh me on back door? I haven't tried draw in a few years....just bought left over.

This bull came out of GMU 5 in CO.
North of Hahn's Peak on the northern edge of Crane Park. Probably hit the ground about 2 miles from the WY state line. This bull was a 5x6 and the year before that I took this one:
5x5 bull taken on the western edge of Crane Park. That area used to be really good to me but I haven't hunted it in quite awhile.

Hunting NM for elk this year, so not gonna hunt CO this year. Just camping, scouting, and fishing this summer in CO
