First CO elk hunt
 

Me and a buddy are goin for our first elk hunt. Decided on meeker/Craig area for the second rifle season. We're hunting on our own. I've tried doing some looking online for pack service for hire if one or both of us are lucky enough to harvest a elk. All the the web is showing are guides and outfitters. Are there pack services for hire in the area. Thanks for any info or advice.

For starters, Sombrero Ranches. 303 442-0258. I know nothing about them, I just Googled them under horse rentals Colorado.

Buy a packframe and learn to bone game. I've taken 25 elk and have been in on the taking of over 100 others and we have never had to hire anyone to get one out of the woods.
