Good luck, lots of bears up there, i lived there for many years and still own land and hunt in that area. Are you using hounds, bait or what?

I have the points for a MI bear tag, need to find some access, or an outfitter, thinking over bait with a bow... but open to other ideas.

Bait most likely. Im not into hounding bear with a dog.

Enjoy. I was fortunate to draw and tag one 2 years ago (with an outfitter's assistance).

My plan is to hunt bear with a homemade bow, Homemade arrows and make homemade broadheads to use on this hunt.

That's awesome. I saw a YT video of a guy in Canada knap his own arrowheads, fletch handmade arrows, and take a bear (or deer?) with it. It was neat.

Any animal you take with self made equipment is a trophy for sure. Best of luck to you.
