You mean to say

that they are considering the hunter with his weapons to stride through the holy lands of Yellowstone.
Naw, they waited too long for me.

i was born and raised on the reservation. Don't let the romance get the best of you. We are all just people in a natural environment. With bows, arrows and spears it is likely they did well in the summer and suffered like hell in the winter. The rest of the time they fought over hunting grounds. Read a tough trip through paradise by andrew garcia. Buffalo die by the thousands with anthrax- ask Ted Turner. They managed buffalo this way in the early years of the park and at the Buffalo Range at Moise, Montana. Don't let emotion get in the way of wise managment.

This was taken from a post on another site by a person that lives up there talking about the Bison in and around Yellowstone being killed this winter: "The bison hunt, as some would call it a slaughter, is wearing thin on the Gardiner community. So far there have been about 320-360 bison taken, which includes about 25 confirmed state bison hunts. There were more wounded bison ending up back in the Park that the YNP had to deal with than previous years. Howard Burt said the 4 day hunt rest after every 10 days hunting didn't work. The bison shooting is still continuing by Idaho's Nez Perce."
